This is a comprehensive independent project in which a student integrates acquired knowledge in IT and energy to solve a specific scientific or applied task that is relevant for the sustainable development of the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main characteristics:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Status:<\/strong> Compulsory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Volume: <\/strong>10 ECTS credits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Execution and presentation language:<\/strong> English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location in course:<\/strong> 3rd semester (final stage).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The purpose and content of the module<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the project is to demonstrate the ability of the master&#8217;s student to conduct independent research and develop innovative solutions at the intersection of disciplines. The work can be done in the form of <strong>industrial internship<\/strong>. In this program, students work on a real case study of an energy or IT company. The final outcome is the writing of a Master&#8217;s thesis and its public defense before an examination committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What will you learn?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project execution, students enhance the following skills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Conducting in-depth research:<\/strong> analyze scientific literature, formulate hypotheses, and select research methodology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Developing practical solutions:<\/strong> designing the architecture of information systems, modeling energy processes, or proposing energy efficiency strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Analyzing the results:<\/strong> To confirm the effectiveness of the proposed solutions, it is important to use data analysis methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Present the results:<\/strong> Prepare a detailed report and present your ideas to the international community in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>International and industrial dimension<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distinctive feature of preparing a project on the IT4SEE program is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>British expertise:<\/strong> representatives of <strong>London South Bank University (LSBU)<\/strong>  are involved during research projects as reviewers and consultants .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Connection to practice:<\/strong> The topics of projects are often coordinated with industrial partners, which enables students to address pressing challenges in the post-war reconstruction of the energy system of Ukraine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Practical value and career<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A successful defense of the master&#8217;s project confirms the high qualifications of the graduate (level 7 according to the EQF) and entitles them to receive <strong>two diplomas<\/strong> &#8211; Ukrainian from IFNTUNG and British MSc from LSBU.
