Students learn to build realistic 3D models of energy objects and create animations of processes (such as wind turbine operation or energy flow in networks). This is crucial for presenting projects to investors and creating “digital twins” of infrastructure.

Principles of documentation for information systems

The course focuses on methods of documenting complex IT systems according to international standards. Students acquire skills in describing software architecture, creating user instructions, and technical documentation for energy systems, ensuring their successful operation and certification.

UI/UX design in the energy industry.

Module focused on designing intuitive interfaces for professional software in the energy sector. The main emphasis is on creating user-friendly dashboards for dispatchers and mobile applications for energy consumers, helping to efficiently visualize large amounts of data and speed up decision-making.

Solid Modeling.

The course delves into the methods of three-dimensional solid modeling. Students use modern CAD systems to develop detailed hardware components of energy equipment. The acquired skills enable the integration of engineering designs into the overall digital ecosystem of the project.

Quality Assurance of IoT web-interfaces

The module is dedicated to testing and ensuring the reliability of web interfaces for Internet of Things (IoT) systems. Students study methodologies for error detection, test automation, and data security verification for the transmission of data from energy sensors to end users. This ensures the stable operation of critical energy infrastructure.

English for engineers and scientists

The course focuses on enhancing academic writing skills and oral communication in a scientific environment. Students learn to prepare reports on research results, write abstracts for international conferences, and present their Master’s thesis in English. This prepares graduates for further academic career (PhD) and work in international research centers.

Why are these modules important? Elective courses in the third semester help students prepare for the final stage of their education – the graduation project. They provide tools for visualizing research, formatting documentation effectively, and presenting results on a global scale. All modules are validated by London South Bank University (LSBU), ensuring their relevance for the modern European job market.

In the third semester, students choose their two elective modules (from the provided list “Optional block 2” with 5 ECTS credits each.)
