At the same time, some of the programs are truly unique, as they not only offer quality education in a relevant field, but also invite you to become part of a unique international collaboration.

As part of the international cooperation initiative between Ukrainian and British universities, Twinning Ukraine, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, in collaboration with London South Bank University, is launching enrollment for an English-language master’s program with double degrees in “Information Technologies for Sustainable Energy Development.” This program will allow graduates to receive two diplomas – one from a Ukrainian university and one from a British university.

The program, which was established last year, is a combination of leveraging the region’s strengths (and the Carpathian region in recent years has been one of the regions where the IT industry is developing most rapidly) and addressing today’s challenges – energy stability and security, which is particularly relevant at a time when the Russian Federation is attacking the energy infrastructure of Ukrainian cities.

Taking this into account, the engineering school of London South Bank University and the Institute of Information Technologies of IFNTUNG have joined forces and developed a program that, on one hand, allows students from various engineering specialties to acquire knowledge and skills in software development and information systems construction, while on the other hand – provides IT professionals with an understanding of the contemporary issues of sustainable energy development and how information technologies enable solving the tasks and challenges facing the industry.

Last year the program received validation certification from London South Bank University, and recently it passed another stage on the path to international accreditation, hosting an online visit by experts from the German accreditation agency ZEvA, who highly praised the program in their feedback.

It is worth noting that in 2023, the program “Information Technologies for Sustainable Energy Development” was one of the six programs in Ukraine to receive grant funding, which allowed students to study for free. The progress of the program throughout the year was evaluated by the grantors, and as a result, this year they allocated funds to cover the tuition fees for an additional 25 top applicants who will enroll in 2024.

To enter the program, you do not need to take the EIT, it is enough to take the EIT and pass an internal entrance examination at the IFNTUNG.

Details of the program and news related to admissions can be found on the website.

The admission campaign for the Master’s program is in full swing, as there are only a few days left until the registration deadline for the EIT and EGFV.
