This module is a mandatory component of the second semester in IT4SEE master’s program. It plays a key role in transforming technical developments into real market solutions by teaching students about the legal and commercial aspects of implementing innovations in the field of sustainable energy.

Goal and content of the module
The goal of the module is to develop students’ ability to manage innovative processes and ensure reliable protection of intellectual achievements. The course program covers the entire innovation process: from the birth of an idea and creation of a startup to obtaining patents and entering the international market. The module is designed in accordance with the state standard for the specialty 175 “Information Measurement Technologies.”
What will you learn?
After completing the course, students will be able to:
- Adhering to legal and ethical standards: Applying intellectual property protection norms in the field of energy engineering (ILO D7).
- Managing startups: Develop and manage new projects in the field of sustainable energy, as well as evaluate their effectiveness (ILO D6).
- Working with patent law: To understand the principles of copyright registration and to ensure the security of the company’s intellectual assets.
- To analyze the commercial context: Making informed decisions on the implementation of new technologies, taking into account economic risks.
